Scarpa R-Evolution Active GTX with Sock-Fit XT

Taupo, New Zealand (July 21, 2015) – Blending the comfort of a lightweight hiker with the support of an alpine boot, the SCARPA Men’s R-evolution Active GTX Boot is perfectly suited to backpacking, long winter excursions, and strong trekking.

SCARPA’s Sock-Fit DV construction uses both Schoeller stretch material and memory foam to deliver a snug and comfortable fit that still delivers support for hiking with a heavy pack. In addition to being durable, the suede upper will tighten progressively for a blend of comfort and traction.

We collaborated with Vibram® to create the Fagus Lite sole, which features a trek-specific pattern, adapted to a variety of surfaces. The Revolution EVA midsole helps cradle your feet over miles of rock-strewn terrain, while the GORE-TEX® liner sweetens the deal even more by delivering waterproof, breathable performance.

  • Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane

  • 1.8mm suede upper

  • Standard lace closure

About the SCARPA brand
Innovation and tradition share equally deep roots at SCARPA, which today remains a family owned company with its headquarters and performance footwear manufacturing facilities in the same regions of northern Italy where it got its start in 1938. The company was among the first to recognize the needs of northern Italy's rapidly developing mountaineering and climbing culture, and has many firsts to its name, including being the first to build a Gore-Tex boot, the first to develop a plastic telemark skiing boot, and in 2007 introduced the first telemark and alpine touring compatible boots. We are passionate about our sports; we are passionate about boot making; we are passionate for performance. For more information visit www.scarpa.net or follow @ScarpaNZ on Facebook.
