Over 3 years in the making and created with design input from renowned Big Mountain skier Chris Davenport the brand new Freedom range of Freeride ski boots have landed for this winter.

Melding together all of Scarpa’s knowledge and technical know how from the AT & Telemark collections they have produced a state of the art collection. The Freedom SL offers the lightest in class performance, best range of motion for climbing and both the safest and most powerful connection to the ski.

The Pebax Rnew and carbon fibre construction ensures these boots are lightweight while retaining their rigidity and stiffness. This is then accompanied by the Intuition Speed Liner providing comfort and warmth at all times.

Combing high performance and touring compatibility, the Freedom SL offers an unprecedented 27° range of motion increasing the performance of boot dramatically. The boot also offers an interchangeable sole unit which can be teamed with both an alpine and TLT binding providing you with a versatile boot which is at home equally in a resort or while exploring the backcountry.

Comes fitted with the Mountain Plus touring sole unit.

SCARPA’s new Freedom Freeride ski boot matches alpine boot performance with a category-leading cuff range (27 degrees) in touring mode to balance best-in-class features with an exceptional price. Created with design input from big-mountain ski pioneer Chris Davenport, the Freedom is remarkably light among Freeride boots at 4lbs 7oz per boot (size 27). It employs SCARPA’s patented Carbon Core Technology, which over-molds the lower boot around a carbon fiber-frame, yielding a 110 flex index boot. Interchangeable soles that are bolted through the carbon-fiber frame offer compatibility with any ski binding, from alpine to tech bindings, in a design that improves strength and power transfer to the ski. The Freedom is the PU version of the Freedom SL, with non-moldable liners and offering a friendlier price. The Freedom is at home in whatever terrain you ski: in-bounds, big mountain or backcountry.

Blurring the lines between freeride skiing and alpine touring, the new Maestrale RS was redesigned for Fall 2015. An all-new ski/walk mechanism makes switching from downhill to tour mode super easy, and also results in a more robust overall system. Range of motion is 37 degrees, impressive for a boot with a 120 flex index and a weight of 3 pounds, 7 ounces. Other new features include a stouter power strap with a cut-out that makes adjustment a snap, and updated buckles, which are oversized for ease of use.
